Hi all,

Last weekend I was active in the ARRL contest. First in Dwingeloo as PI9CAM,
hitting the brass. I tested my trusted Marconi 365D and – thanks to the help
of Lars SM4IVE – a military version of the Swedish key.

Both are superb keys and the Swedish key is a real delight to key on and on,
due the light touch. With the Marconi 365D I can go faster, but not the 40
wpm anymore as I used to be able to
As Karl SM3AKW pointed in our QSO (QRQ
and in Swedish!), we are getting old hi!

We also tried on 144 MHz and heard VE1K. Serge, I called you endlessly but
regretfully all we got was QRZ. Our power on 2m was not so high and a 25m
dish is a marvel on 70cm and up, but not on so much on 2m. Sorry, hope next
time we have more luck Serge!

Also heard I2FAK and LZ2US working Serge, obviously louder in the small
pile-up of course ;)

Eventually we made only one QSO on 2m, with OZ1HNE. Good ears Jörgen! But
even with your excellent setup, it took some turns before you had our call.
It was a handicap as we were not yet in your call3.txt of course J

I left Dwingeloo at 01:00 leaving PA3FXB behind in despair as he had to
clear all the equipment. Jan, I will bring another fine pizza again for you
next time from the ladies in Dwingeloo-village J

Arriving home after 200 km drive, I had some energy left to tune the band.
My dish had 100% free view on the moon, so could not resist and worked some
new initials. SP6JLW had great difficulties picking my call, but thanks for
patience guys!

I worked Hannes OE5JFL straight after JLW and that costed 2 minuts only.
Super QSO Hannes! J

On K1JT’s QRG I was then called by a pile-up after JT-65 QSO with them.
Thanks Joe (or rather Al I guess) for putting up with me clearing my
pile-up! Worked OK2DL, OK2ULQ (new init!) and W6YX with super signals.

About 04:30 my XYL discovered I was still up and ordered me to go asleep.
She who has to be obeyed was right, this is absolutely crazy!

Thanks all for another great weekend!
