Hi Peter et al,
Well this time it was me who happened to have missed you calling me. At
least that is what Lars told me ;)
I was checking out for SP4MPB and heard him very weak. Never bothered to
tune around to see if there was anyone else.
In total I made 5 QSO's this contest. One JT (HB9Q with booming sigs!) and
the rest CW: SM4IVE, I1NDP, NC1I, OZ4MM and F5SE/P (new init).
Heard W6YX (called them hopelessly) and OE5JFL. Sorry Hannes, I think you
just went to another band or QRX when I arrived at your QRG.
Loudest signal by far was SM4IVE with real 579 sigs, but I found the signals
overall marginal so suspected conditions not to be so super. I sort of
missed 3 dB.
At daylight I saw that my feed was not pointing perfectly to the dish
anymore and that moment my XYL said 'oh yes, sorry I hit the feed with the
ladder when gardening hi!!
Life of EME with small dishes is hard.
Best 73, Dick PA2DW

As I cannot be QRV for the final moon pass here are my results for this leg.
On 23cm 54 stations worked on CW, More than last year in first leg , 5
gotaways, only one JA, no VK. Very busy, good conditions, no problems.
On 70cm 13 stations worked on CW, one gotaway, down on last year ,
reasonable conditions probably 45 deg of Faraday most of the time with some
polarisation spreading.... very dissapointing level of activity.
I havent yet sorted out multipliers or initials... there are some on 23cm.
Always pleased to hear from anyone who called me and didnt get a reply.
Thanks to all for the nice QSOs. Hope to be QRV for the final leg in
December.
73 Peter G3LTF
