[Moon] offset superiority on 3cm eme

When using an offset dish we try to compare apples to pears in saying I have an offset dish of for instance 1.8 mtr. The dish is in fact formed the dimension measured horizontal, this is the value we say the dish is. But in fact the dimension vertical is larger. Most times about 1.23 times the horizontal dimension.

  No , the offsetdish is tilted down by the so called 'offset angle" , seen from the electromagnetic wave , it is a circle whose diameter is the small diameter , so the surface is the same.
  Supériority comes mainly because it is much easier to get a very good feed of the dish because of the high F/d . The antennas is much less noisy
