Good Morning Mike,

You have a piece of the old EW59 which I use all over my tropo and EME station here and it works with very low loss. I don't have a data sheet...just extrapolated the performance between newer ones and measured. It was used in the 6.5-6.9 electric utility here and I suspect elsewhere. It was installed in 1963. I don't know why they dropped it in favor of EW63 & 52.....just could not cover the extreme range with low loss...bigger is better !

Subject: [Moon-Net] Elliptical waveguide spec needed

I have the following Andrew elliptical waveguide connectors:

159BC
159BET
159ACT

I also have a length of waveguide that fits these connectors. But after
much time spent searching and googling, I cannot find the number of this
waveguide which fits these connectors and therefore cannot find any specs
for this waveguide. There is no number printed on the waveguide itself.
I was hoping to use it for 5760. The connectors adapt to WR137
rectangular.

The outside major axis dimension of this waveguide is 1.75" versus EW52
which is about 2.25" so I am skeptical of its performance on 5760.

Can anyone tell me what waveguide I have here, and/or specs for it?

Thanks & 73
