Jan I suggest you get in touch with PA0EHG Hans & also look at his website. You may have done that already. I am also putting together to receive 10ghz becon the same way Hans did. I use the Funcube dongle with Spectravue & Hans helped me with the configuration of the software program. Now the Funcube dongle does need to have its firmware changed.It will work as it is but Spectravue needs to be configured correctly. DO NOT MESS around with the FCDPP firmware. What ever you do. I will research my Email which I have with pictures Hans sent me. I will get back to you or send you some of the pictures I got from PA0EHG.

  I saw many of you measure Sun noise with Funcube dongle PRO+ converter/transverter+ Spetravue continious mode.


  any sugestion how to setup funcube control (FCHId LNA, mixer gain IFgain etc)
  and spectravue to measure true value of Sunnoise? I figured out that if you changing
  gains in the chain the Sun noise value variied.
  And how you detect when the signal is not enough or too much in FCD?
