I can only echo ( pun intended ) Ingolf's comments 

I had a query with Doug whilst setting up my initial 23cms EME 1.7m dish on noise / power density / bandwidth.
Via e-mail he put my thinking straight in a no nonsense way : well it sorted me out !

RIP Doug
 
My sincere condolence and sympathy to his family , the EME community has lost a great pioneer but he will not be forgotten.
