[Moon] Fun weekend

Hi all,

 

It was fun last weekend, though had just few hours time in between family
affairs. But would have expected much more activity and moon could have been
a bit higher in beginning of my window where I have some tree blockage.

 

Made 2-way SSB QSO with HB9Q and I1NDP. Nando was a new initial for me on
SSB J
LX1DB and OK2DL could not figure out my call on SSB in spite they were
really loud, so we made crossmode SSB/CW QSO, which was fun too. But hope
next time I make QSO in 2-way SSB with them.

All I stations I heard/worked were FB copy, HB9Q was even almost S9 (my
S-meter is well calibrated!...) later when dish was free from trees! 

Also worked SP6ITF for new initial on CW. Glad he finally noticed my call
was not PA2DV J

 

I noticed my SSB signal was not as powerfull as on CW, which was maybe why
it was hard to get through. I had many QRZ.. Or maybe the problem is my
rather bass level voice.

So will investigate that. I hardly ever use SSB, so did not notice it
before.
