Conrad I have to confirm this message. Very sad news and seriously big miss.
Dan passed way after long fight with illness. He was great guy with deep 
knowledge, not only in our hobby. I know him personally from 1977 and had 
with Dan many meetings and fun. Many of you will remember him as a member of
EME 2002 conference committee. I will miss Dan very much. R.I.P. Dan

"I have just received the very sad news that my good friend Dan OK1DIG 
passed way last night. We had grown very close in the last few years and 
had many exciting new projects in progress. I will miss our daily 
conversations and his big signal on both EME and terrestrial.

Most of all I will miss his enthusiasm.
