I think it is worth saying. When this was written It was originally intended to be just a single chapter at the end of a book aimed mainly at the lower bands. It quickly became clear that a single chapter was inadequate to cover the much larger subject of microwave EME, to any meaningful extent. There was no appetite from the book sponsor to increase the book size to allow more microwave EME content and no appetite for a microwave-only EME book.Personally I think that was short sighted, but reluctantly accepted that the sponsor knew the market best.

Thanks for that John/Sam . Slowly putting together a 23/13 eme station myself, as a beginner I would dearly have loved to have owned a good detailed text book with everything in one place (still would!). Could be a project for a future rsgb book if there is enough interest, the one that came out a year or so ago was a little disappointing in that it essentially covered 2/70 jt65 only, although to be fair it was a 'dip your toe in the water' title.

Subject: [UKMicrowaves] The EME book that never was

Hi Folks,
I've just published on the UKuG Wiki, at https://wiki.microwavers.org.uk/Microwave_EME
the GHz bands EME chapters written by Sam G4DDK and myself that were once intended to be part of someone else's longer more general book on EME that never happened.

Still needs a bit of tidying up (but that's what Wiki's allow YOU to do! - go for it!
Seemed a shame to waste the effort.
Enjoy!
