Rick your system is small but you should be able to work some stations?? We all started this way. You need good aiming & check degradation & you need elevation. They is many 2 Yagi system on the moon running small power.
Do not give up so soon.

Thanks to all for their helpful explanations and especially Courtney for sharing his PowerPoint. 

It looks like I might as well put my satellite antennas back on the roof at least for a few years as EME conditions for my small 2 meter station, given the obstacles that surround me, won’t be worth the effort.
